About Clare

Born and raised in county Dublin, Ireland, Clare’s passion for telling stories led her to pursue a BFA in Theater at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Her first film was the MGM blockbuster hit “Creed”. Since then, Clare has played leading roles in New York City at The Irish Repertory Theater including Nora Clitheroe in ‘The Plough and the Stars’, Sinead in ‘Pumpgirl’, and Lily in the immersive production of ‘The Dead 1904’ for which she developed the role. One of Clare’s favorite creative endeavors is to originate a role. Visit Playography Ireland.

Clare performed in the world premiere of ‘The Dead’ adapted by Frank McGuniess for The Abbey Theater, ‘The Last Summer’ by Declan Hughs for The Gate Theatre and most recently ‘Parcel From America’ a new musical at Smock Alley Theater

O’Malley has performed all across the east coast of the USA, in major roles including Nina in the Tony Award Winning regional premiere of  ‘Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike’ at Philadelphia Theater Company, Beth Halloway in ‘Something Wicked This Way Comes’ a new musical based on the novel, and Joan in ‘Saint Joan’ adapted by Chelesea Marcantel for Delaware Theater Company. She starred in the US premiere of Hetty Feather. 

During the pandemic Clare wrote and starred in her own one woman play with music called ‘Transatlantic Living’ for which she received an Agility Award from the Arts Council to develop and tour to NYC.
